PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace, has warmed the Zanu PF government it risks booted out of office election if the party does deliver on their 2013 election promises.
While campaigning for last year’s elections which it won with a thundering majority, Zanu PF promised to end the misery of Zimbabweans battered by a decade-long economic crisis.
Addressing a rally in Harare, Grace said people in the capital were angry because of failure by government to deliver on its promises.
“People are angry in Harare. If people are angry, they will not listen to you. Focus on developmental issues,” she told the crowd adding that “Leaders must not lose focus because of factionalism.
“During elections time we made promises and if we are to be people who fail to deliver on the promises, it will be a challenge in the next elections.
In the run up to the July 31, 2013 elections, Zanu PF promised to create over two million jobs and improve the social well-being of citizens through provision of roads, improved health facilities among other deliverables.

She lashed out at parry bigwigs, accusing them of spending time plotting how to rise politically at the expense of social services.
“People in Harare do not have suitable places to stay but those who should address their challenges are busy on power and positions,” she said.

Grace said she was prepared to join the MDC-T in anti-government protests provided the party leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, demanded that sanctions imposed by western countries are lifted.
She also complained about filth in the capital saying Harare was dirty as people, including herself, do not care where they throw litter.
“Litter and dirtiness has reached alarming levels. Harare is the image of the country. A lot of diseases have cropped up because of litter. We must not enjoy other nation’s cleanliness yet ours is dirty,” she said.
She pleaded with authorities conducting home demolitions to stop saying they must first provide an alternate accommodation to those who they want moved from the “illegal sites”.
Harare City Council and surrounding local authorities last week launched a crackdown on illegal structures leaving thousands of residents homeless.
